Wesley's Great Adventures

A couple months ago we went to a little carnival in town. Wesley loved the rides. He rode a roller coaster, boats, motorcycles, and a big slide. He was so brave on the big slide. The first time, Erick went up with him (since I wasn't sure if he would like it or not) and they slid down together. We asked him if he wanted to go again and he headed up the long flight of stairs all by himself. He didn't want Daddy to go with him, he wanted to do it all by himself. There had to be at least 40-50 stairs to climb and you had to carry a rug up too. He went right on up, put his rug down, sat down, and slid down. It is like he was saying "No problem Mom and Dad. I can do it." He is definitely independent.

Wesley is so proud of the "super tall" castle we built together. It isn't quite big enough for "King Wesley" to live in though.

Wesley is doing great with his numbers and letters. He is recognizing so many letters now. . . especially the W. He can even count to 20. . . with a little help. He has no problems with 1-10, and then wants to say eleventeen (makes sense), but will go from 11-14 and then needs a little help with 15-20, but I think is understanding the concept of 1-9 used in 11-19. He has also been counting alot of things lately. We will ask him how many things of something in particular he sees and he will count them (up to 10). He distinguishes between inside and outside of something to count, people and animals, and so much more. I've been proud of him for doing so well with the counting.
