Don't Take My Fork

For some reason, Wesley has been in this screaming phase. He'll be out in public and just let off this piercing scream. . . or, he'll do it in the house if you're not paying enough attention to him. . . or, he'll do it when you are trying to talk on the phone. After he does it, he'll look at us and smile. It is some kind of game to him I guess. Anyway, we were sitting eating supper the other night. He doesn't like you taking his fork or spoon from him, but if you ask him to give it to mommy or daddy he will. The funny part of dinner was that he kept taking Erick's hand and putting it around the fork he was holding and then he would scream like he didn't want him to take it. Erick would pull his hand off and he would stop screaming. He kept doing this again and again. I said he was going to be the little kid on the playground who would give his toy to another kid and go off running and screaming that little Johnny took his toy away from him. Oh, what we have to look forward to.

We've tried to stop the screaming every way we can, but no luck. Anyone have any suggestions?
