Get Up! Get Up!
Wesley was too funny yesterday. He had my entire family laughing. In an attempt to entertain him at my parents house, my dad was searching for a cartoon, or some sort of show, for Wesley to watch. Instead of a cartoon, he came upon a kids exercise show. We had the option of kids exercise, kids yoga, and a couple others. Well, he picked the kids exercise. Wesley absolutely loved it. They were doing alot of aerobics type of exercises, and they never stopped moving. Wesley followed along for a few minutes by himself. He would do what they were doing, whether it was laying on the floor and trying to lift his legs up, or standing up and moving his arms around. The show really reminded me of a Tai-bo exercise class, for they were doing alot of punching and kicking. I was really impressed that Wesley tried to keep up so well. I guess he must have thought he was having too much fun by himself, so he went around to everyone that was sitting in the living room and pulled them up and told us to "get up". He made me get up, Erick, my dad, and my nephew. So, here we all are in the living room standing up kicking, swinging our arms, hopping, etc. If I would have only video taped it, it was too funny. My dad and I would try and sneak and sit back down every now and then, but that would last maybe a minute for Wesley would, once again, pull us back up to exercise. My dad commented that he would be a good trainer, because he wouldn't let you quit. So, for the next 30 minutes we all exercised in the living room (and this was after a lunch of b-b-q'd hamburgers, hot dogs, ribs, beans, potatoes, squash, and for dessert homemade ice cream). Oh yeah, I do have to comment and say that my nephew disappeared. I guess he knew how to get out of the exercise. . . you have to be out of Wesley's line of site. :) At first, he hollared after Cody and ran after him down the hall, but he finally gave up and concentrated on making the rest of us exercise. Lucky us!!!
