Two Minutes
I got punished yesterday by my son. It was only an accident, but I guess I was bad. I was outside sweeping the driveway and Wesley came from behind me with his golf club and as I swung the broom, it knocked the club out of his hands and knocked him down. Needless to say, it was an accident but I guess Wesley thought I was bad. I was told "Mommy, no! Bad boy (I like the bad boy part) . . . time out. . . two minutes." OK, this tells me one of two things:
1) Wesley is bad way too often and has now memorized the time out speech.
2) I use the time out threat too much when Wesley is acting up.
After this weekend, I would say 1 and 2. He was super hyper and wouldn't listen to anything, added with I had a massive headache all weekend, added with I was trying to clean all weekend and Wesley kept undoing everything I had accomplished, added with Erick had to work all weekend = Yes, this speech was used and there were plenty of time outs had.
