Swish! Swish!

What a fun day it was yesterday. All was going well until. . . my sweet, innocent little guy decided to wash my contacts down the drain. I sent him to the bathroom to wash his hands and realized he had been in there too long. I walk in and my contact case is floating in the sink. . . opened. I instantly pick it up and look to see if my contacts are possibly stuck to the inside. Nope, couldn't be that lucky. Next, in desperation, I look in the water that is filling the sink to see if they are floating in the water. No luck there either. My "eyes" are gone! I realize this is partially my fault for leaving my contact case sitting on the counter. . . I will take part of the blame. :) I wouldn't have freaked out so much if it hadn't of been my last pair of contacts that I had on hand, but, it was my absolute last pair and my prescription had ran out. I had been putting off getting another eye exam since I had extra pairs still. I hate wearing my glasses because they give me horrible headaches, and without contacts or glasses I am blind. So, I had to make an emergency visit to the eye doctor for an exam and a new pair of contacts. I guess that's what I get for putting it off for so long. Thank goodness you don't get charged for an emergency visit to the eye doctor like you do to the ER in a hospital. Unfortunately, my eyes have gotten alot worse in the past year (after not having changed in the last 5 years. . . he thinks my new meds may have part to do with it) and I needed new contacts more than I realized. After the doc showed me what my last prescription looked like compared to my new one, I don't see how I was even seeing at all. Now, the world is all crisp and clear and I can see those cute little dimples on Wesley's cheeks even better now. I guess the day wasn't all that bad after all. :)
