Kids Take Things So Literally
I'm so far behind on the blog, hopefully I'll get caught up soon.
Anyway, a funny thing happened last night. I guess with little ones, you really have to watch what you say because they take what you say to heart and do it. Erick and I were playing Candyland with Wesley. We kept going around taking turns and I would tell Wesley to draw a card when it was his turn. After a few turns, he got up from his chair and disappeared. We called for him and asked him what he was doing and got the response "one minute, coming". After a minute or two, he came back with an ink pen and his Candyland card. I asked him why he had a pen and he stated "draw Card". He took me literally and thought he was supposed to "draw a card". Erick and I just looked at each other and laughed. I have to give it to him, he did what I told him to do.

That is too funny! It reminds me of the "Amelia Bedilia" books. Did you read those as a kid?
