Quotes of the Week
It has been a busy week. Sadly, my grandma passed away on Saturday. . . but, she did not suffer and is at peace now. She was ready to go, so I am glad she went peacefully and did not suffer. We had the services last night and buried her today. It was a very nice service and we got to see how many people she touched. Unfortunately, it seems that we have only gotten dressed up lately for funerals. Wesley was excited to wear his dress shoes and tie again. He made some funny and cute quotes yesterday and today. He totally amazes me at what he remembers.
1. You have drawings on your toes Mommy. (Referring to the toe nail polish I had on them yesterday)
2. What are those on your ears Mommy? Take them off, they hurt. (Referring to the earrings I had on yesterday)
3. You look pretty Mommy. (Referring to the dress, etc. I had on for the funeral. This made my day.)
4. It isn't snowing today. (Referring and remembering back to the day we buried my mom. It was snowing that day and he remembered and commented that it was snowing on the day of my grandma's funeral)
5. Are we going to Mam Maw's parade? (Referring to the funeral procession from the funeral home to the cemetery. He remembered doing this with my mom's funeral a few months back and Wesley called it Nannie's parade. He wanted to know last night if it were time for Mam Maw's parade.)
