We Have a Flood
We had a rather large flood in the bathroom last night. The cause. . . a little 2-year old who decided to stuff toilet paper down the drain. Where did it all start? Wesley went to the bathroom to wash his hands, Mommy went to the bedroom to change the sheets, and Daddy was doing different things. The problem. . . both Erick and I thought the other was watching Wesley. After about 5-7 minutes, Erick came into the bedroom and commented that he thought I was with Wesley. He went to check on him since the water had been running for that long. All I know is that I hear him yell at me "I need towels, a lot of towels." I went running with towels and threw them to him and Wesley came running towards me sopping wet. I had him strip down and I went to the bathroom to see what happened. The sink was overflowing with water, there was water all over the floor, and the drawers somehow got filled with water. After everything got cleaned up, Erick went to the basement to see if the water had leaked down through the floors. Sure did. As I said before, we had a large flood.

It is amazing how quickly little people can make big messes, isn't it?

Mere did this in our downstairs bathroom about 2 months ago...she went in to go potty and she always washes her hands. Well, I noticed she'd been in there awhile..with the water running...and just as I was heading that way I heard the giggles. She had decided she needed to wash her feet too! Had pulled the stopper on the drain and was letting the water fill up and over...into the drawers. I caught it with only about an inch of water on the floor!
