We Went Potty
Wesley is getting good at understanding when he goes to the bathroom in his diaper or has to go and has been telling us. He was standing doing his usual grunting (when he goes #2), so I knew he was going. I asked him if he needed to go potty. Since I knew he had already went, I took him to the changing table to clean his bottom and change his diaper. Well, this was fun. I guess I was too fast because he started squirting #2 at me and was giggling and giggling at me. Well, I finally got it all cleaned up and started to put his diaper on him. He pushed it away and said potty-potty. I asked him if he had to go potty and he motioned he had to. So, I quickly got him down and told him to hurry and go sit on his potty. He ran to the bathroom and sat on his potty. He sat there a few seconds. . . looking serious all the while. . . and started peeing in his potty. He was so proud. . . I was so proud. . . Daddy was so proud.
I have to tell you the other potty story too. A week or so ago he said he had to go potty, so I took him to the bathroom and pulled his pants and diaper off and he sat on his potty. He got all serious, grunted, and stood up. (This took all of 2 seconds and he didn't do anything) He then closed the lid on his potty and stood up on his stool at the sink to wash his hands. He stuck his hands under the faucet and said bubble to get some soap. So, we washed his hands. He then got down and grabbed some toilet paper to dry his hands. He threw away the paper in the trashcan and went to the big potty and flushed the toilet. What a process he had, it was too funny.
