He Has Changed So Much

Wesley is changing so much. We cannot believe his vocabulary now. No matter what you say, Wesley is at that stage that he is going to say it too. Not that we curse or anything (thank goodness we don't have to worry about that), but he hears everything and says everything. He isn't afraid to try to say something now. . . and, he usually succeeds at saying it. I've been so proud of him and how well he is doing. I give alot of credit to the teacher he has had at daycare for the past month. Wesley has improved leaps and bounds since he had her. She really works with the kids. . . and it shows. Erick and I were surprised yesterday when he said "It's my turn." His teacher was showing me how much of the sign language he has learned. She was using it with him and he was responding back to her using it. I was impressed. He is really putting sentences together and really relating things. I was reading to him today and it was a book called "Spot Makes a Cake". Anyway, Spot is a puppy and he and his mommy were making a cake for his daddy. I pointed out to Welsey that this is Mommy and this is Daddy and he pointed to Spot the puppy and said "Me." I was surprised that he related that together, that Spot was the same as he is to me and Erick.

On another note, Wesley has been having a little bit of a diaper rash the past few days so when he goes to the bathroom in his diaper it doesn't feel good. (He has been doing better potty training again though. He went through a stage where he got out of it and is now telling us again - but, we have to remind him alot still. I'm not going to push it yet, it will happen when he is ready.) Anyway, back to my story. I changed him and he was fussing because it hurt for me to wipe him. He kept telling me "Cream on. Cream on." So, I put his diaper cream on him. About 30 minutes later we're in the living room and all of a sudden Wesley hollars at me and says "Ow, it hurts. MOMMY-MOMMY. Come on (as he is motioning with his hands for me to follow him). . . Come on." So, I got up and he was standing at the changing table waiting for me to put him up there. He pointed and said "Up. Up. Me. . change." He had gone poopie and it was hurting him, so I was proud of him for letting me know.
